Ep2: MATH INSTRUCTION — Common Sense W/ Dr. Charles Cole III

We have a math crisis in American public schools. Our failure to provide students with adequate math instruction is holding them back from financial literacy, advanced stem degrees, and the jobs of the future. The myth of the "math person," or the idea that some people just aren't cut out for math has been instilled in far too many of our young people (and adults).

It's time for a common sense discussion about the state of math instruction in America. It starts with acknowledging the importance of math proficiency for our young people and the fact that we need to be doing much better.

Dr. Charles Cole, III gets the conversation started in this episode of Common Sense, but let us know: have you ever felt you were not a "math person?"
